SAVE THE DATE: ACCME 2021 MEETING
Save the date for the ACCME 2021 Meeting, which will take place virtually Tuesday, April 27–Thursday, April 29, 2021, and will include a new, optional longitudinal learning component in the weeks leading up to the meeting.
We'll provide plenty of opportunities for you to learn from and with your colleagues: you can propose and facilitate a session, share your research on CME/CE, or lead a Working Group. Watch for our call for proposals, coming soon.

Registration for the ACCME 2021 Meeting will open in early January 2021.
COMING SOON: REGISTER YOUR CME ACTIVITIES FOR AMERICAN BOARD OF SURGERY CONTINUOUS CERTIFICATION
We’re pleased to announce that starting in February 2021, all accredited CME providers in the ACCME System and all providers accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education will be welcome to register CME activities that meet the American Board of Surgery (ABS) Continuous Certification Program requirements. At that time, providers will be able to submit learner completion data in the Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS). Read more here.

Reminders for Accredited Providers
ANNUAL ACCREDITATION FEES
Earlier this week, we sent invoices to ACCME-accredited providers as well as those accredited by the California Medical Association, Massachusetts Medical Society, and Missouri State Medical Association (at the request of those state medical societies). Payment of the 2021 annual accreditation fee is due February 1, 2021. If your organization is accredited by the ACCME or one of the state medical societies listed above and you did not receive this information, please contact info@accme.org. If your organization is accredited by a state medical society not listed above, please contact your accreditor.

STANDARDS FOR SUBSTANTIVE EQUIVALENCY
The International Academy for Continuing Professional Development Accreditation (IACPDA) is pleased to announce the adoption of the Standards for Substantive Equivalency between CPD/CME Accreditation Systems. These are the first Standards to set international guidelines for the accreditation of continuing professional development (CPD) and continuing medical education (CME) of medical doctors and healthcare teams. The ACCME is a founding member of the IACPDA. Read more here.
