>>McMAHON: Why should accredited providers engage in Continuing Certification and Maintenance of Certification? Well, many of you already are. Several hundred of you have been engaged in this process over the last two years as we've created greater alignment and responses from the clinician community has been terrific. I think there's five things to think about as you think about this opportunity. Number one, it’s already included as a benefit of being accredited. Number two, we've tried to make it as simple as possible. Our reporting vehicles and our reporting frameworks are quite straightforward. Number three, you're already doing what the boards require because the boards have aligned with ACCME's requirements. Number four, the boards are increasingly aligned with each other so that you can issue credits for pediatricians, and internists, and pathologists, and anesthesiologists in the same activity. And number five, ultimately because engaging this type of activity increases your relationship with your learners by meeting their expectations and their needs so they can see the CME program that you're producing has value for them across multiple dimensions.
