The implementation of educational strategies to remove, overcome, or address barriers to physician change is a part of the provider's CME activity planning process. For example, a CME activity on the human papillomavirus vaccine included specific information on myths and misconceptions regarding the virus and the vaccine. In another example, a CME activity on cardiac issues in women covered content related to gender stereotypes which can delay diagnosis and treatment for women.
