The ACCME was honored to be invited to participate in a discussion bringing together senior officials from the White House and the US Department of Health and Human Services and leaders in health care education and training. The discussion focused on how the health professions and government can support each other in preparing and training the health care workforce to meet the challenges of a transformed health care delivery system. Murray Kopelow, MD, ACCME President and CEO, attended the event, which was convened on October 18 by the White House and the Department of Health and Human Services.

Through its interactions with government, the ACCME aims to fulfill its responsibilities of transparency and accountability, inform public officials about the value of accredited CME, and support national health care quality and safety initiatives.
