ACCME CEO Promotes Stakeholder Engagement about Innovation and Improvement

As the new president and CEO of the ACCME, my role is to do everything I can to help our accredited continuing education (CE) community grow and thrive. What we do matters—and my goal is to facilitate our work together to make a difference in our changing healthcare environment.

The collaboration of the ACCME and the CE community has been fundamental to our shared success in creating an accreditation system that has achieved national recognition as a strategic resource for healthcare improvement. To continue our collaboration, I welcome you to share your ideas for how I, and we at ACCME, can meet your needs and achieve our shared mission:

  • Within the next few weeks, we will release a short survey on our website to elicit your ideas about how the ACCME can meet the future needs of the CE community and the healthcare system.
  • We are hosting an open webinar for all stakeholders on July 7 at 1:00 p.m. Central to give you the opportunity to ask questions and share your strategies for how we can advance accredited CE.

We will send announcements about the survey and the webinar via email and publish them on our website.

The ACCME Board of Directors will convene a strategic retreat in July to discuss the ongoing implementation of the ACCME’s strategic plan. Your ideas will inform our planning and  help us set our vision of our future.

During the past few weeks, I have had the pleasure of participating in several events and I have many more interactions scheduled for the coming months. I look forward to our engagement as we leverage our shared passion for learning and the power of education to drive quality in our profession and in healthcare.

Sincerely,
