CPD Leaders Share International Perspectives on Future of Education

The Cologne Consensus Conference 2015: Providers in Accredited CME/CPD, hosted by the European Cardiology Section Foundation (ECSF)—a nonprofit, charitable foundation of UEMS Cardiology Section—was held in Cologne, Germany in September. Graham McMahon, MD, MMSc, President and CEO, ACCME, gave a presentation and facilitated a discussion about advancing accreditation in support of CME/CPD. Kate Regnier, MA, MBA, Executive Vice President, ACCME, participated in an interactive dialogue about accreditation in North America. She shared her perspective as a US accreditor, describing the ACCME accreditation review process, requirements, and priorities. Her co-presenter, Jennifer Gordon, MEd Associate Director, CPD, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Ottawa, offered the perspective of a Canadian accreditor.

The ACCME’s participation in this conference is part of our commitment to supporting collaboration in the global CME community.
