Participant completion data for CME that Counts for ABIM MOC should be submitted in PARS no later than December 31, 2016. ABIM Board Certified physicians need to complete their MOC activities by December 31 in order for the MOC points to count toward any MOC requirements that are due by the end of the year. To that end, providers should report participant completion data by December 31 to ensure that the MOC points count towards this year’s requirements. ABIM will continue to accept participant completion data reported by CME providers through March 31, 2017 (ACCME’s annual reporting deadline) and any ABIM Board Certified physician who experienced a negative status change as a direct result of insufficient MOC points will have their status adjusted once the required number of points have been earned. We encourage CME providers to submit participant completion data as soon as possible after an activity is completed so that points can be applied to physicians’ records.

Please note that ACCME has not changed its annual reporting requirements. Accredited CME providers are required to submit all program and activity data for the 2016 reporting year by March 31, 2017. This includes reporting of participant completion data for ABIM MOC.
