The ACCME participated in the Council of Science Editors (CSE) Annual Meeting, held in May in Seattle. Murray Kopelow, MD, ACCME Chief Executive, served as co-presenter for a session entitled "Continuing Education, Novel Delivery and Quality: What Works?" The session examined how science editors can leverage innovations, such as social media, to deliver scientific content without abandoning the tenets of science, and how science editors can increase educational content in peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Kopelow explained how CME addresses problems in practice, and facilitates physicians' learning and change. His co-presenter was David A. Crotty, PhD, Senior Editor, Oxford University Press. The session was moderated by Christine Casey, MD, Deputy Editor, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
