Newcomers' Introduction to Accredited CME

April 9, 2014, 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM

Westin River North
320 North Dearborn Street
Chicago, IL

In an effort to meet the needs of those who are new to CME, the ACCME is pleased to offer a optional pre-workshop session.  We recommend this session for those who have been in CME for 1 year or less.  The intent of this session is to introduce the beginner participant to CME (and ACCME) basics so that they can prepare for and get the most out of the workshop.  During the session, ACCME staff will introduce participants to the terminology of CME, some key stakeholders that they may interact with like the AMA and AAFP, and what the ACCME's accreditation system is and how it works. In addition, the orientation is an opportunity to meet with other newcomer colleagues prior to the workshop.

You must register for the Newcomers’ session in conjunction with the Workshop; you cannot attend this session separately.  There is a separate $225 registration fee for the orientation, which includes registration for the session, activity materials, and afternoon refreshments.

Registration for the April 9, 2014 Newcomers' pre-conference session will be available when the workshop registration launches in November 2013.  If you have questions about the workshop, please contact Saifra Khan
