The ACCME 2012 Regional Accreditor Meetings are designed to bring together State Medical Society Recognized Accreditors from across the country to discuss the national accreditation system and topics on the accreditation of continuing medical education (CME) providers.
This day and a half professional development session will be led by ACCME senior staff and provide State Medical Society Recognized Accreditors with:
- A forum for you to discuss current issues in the CME environment with your accreditor peers and ACCME staff.
- Even more case discussion time by popular request! We have dedicated time on our agenda to address your questions around accreditor practices and equivalency topics.
- An overview of the resources available in support of the education you deliver to accredited providers and accreditation volunteers.
SCHEDULE
Day 1 will begin with a dinner session from 4:00 - 7:00 pm, in which we will kick off the meeting with a Leaders' Discussion. On Day 2 we will come together from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm to discuss Accreditor Practices by holding case discussions and an overview of resources available to support education that you deliver to your stakeholders.
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?
The meetings are open to State Medical Society Recognized Accreditors including accreditation volunteers (eg, state-based surveyors, committee members), and SMS staff/leadership. Please note: This meeting is designed for ACCME Recognized Accreditors' staff and state accreditation volunteers only and is not intended as provider education.
