This tutorial offers educational resources to help providers achieve compliance with Criteria 29-32 in the “Enhances Skills” category of the Menu of Criteria for Accreditation with Commendation.
A Menu of Options: Providers seeking to achieve commendation under ACCME’s Menu of Criteria for Accreditation with Commendation need to meet the expectations of any seven criteria of their choice from the five menu categories plus at least one of the criteria from the “Achieves Outcomes” category.
The commendation criteria in the “Enhances Skills” category reward providers that design CME to optimize skills and create individualized learning plans and support strategies for their learners.
It’s Optional: As a reminder, as with the existing commendation criteria 16-22, compliance with the Menu of Criteria for Accreditation with Commendation is optional for CME providers and is not required to achieve Accreditation.
For more information about the new commendation criteria overall, including a transition timeline, please see the Menu of New Criteria for Accreditation with Commendation webpage.
Educational Resources: Enhances Skills
In response to providers’ requests, we have developed written FAQ, short videos, and examples of compliance for each of the “Enhances Skills” criteria. These examples describe approaches that would meet the expectations of the criteria; however, they may not include evidence of compliance with the measurement standards for each criterion.
