[How do I enter activity data and information?]
Providers have three options for entering activity data into PARS. The first option is to use a web-based entry form that allows activities to be entered one at a time. The other two options allow providers to “batch upload” activity data—meaning that data for more than one activity is uploaded directly into PARS without using the web-entry form. We’ll explore the two “batch upload” options in the next chapter of this video.
[Web-based “Add an Activity” Entry? Small number of activities per year, do not use a CME tracking system]
The web-based entry form is a good option for organizations that only provide a small to moderate number of activities throughout the year. It also may be of use to organizations that are not already using a CME tracking system or database of their own.
On the activity entry form, there are a series of fields in which you are asked to enter information about the activity. Place your mouse over a question mark icons to get tool-tip explanations about these fields. Where the mouse cursor changes from an arrow to a pointing hand, you can click on the icon to view frequently-asked-questions about these fields. At the bottom of this form, you have the option to “Quit without saving”, “Save and quit”, or “Save and add another activity.”
