What process is used to ensure that the accredited CME activities registered for ABIM’s MOC program meet ABIM requirements?

As a service to accredited providers and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), the ACCME conducts audits on the activities registered for ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program in the Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS). The activities are selected using a specific method approved by the ABIM. Providers are asked to submit information that demonstrates compliance with ABIM’s Medical Knowledge Assessment Recognition Program Requirements. That information is reviewed by ACCME and an audit report is provided to the accredited provider and to ABIM.
