What process will be used to ensure that the accredited CME activities registered for a specialty board’s MOC program meet the board’s requirements?

As a service to accredited providers and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), the ACCME will conduct audits on the activities registered for the ABIM and ABP Maintenance of Certification (MOC) programs in the Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS). The activities will be selected using a specific method approved by the ABIM.  Providers will be asked to submit information that demonstrates compliance with the ABIM and ABP Program Requirements. That information will be reviewed by ACCME and an audit report will be provided to the accredited provider and to ABIM and/or ABP.
