There are several fields regarding commercial support that you are required to complete at the individual CME activity level. The following are explanations of each field that appear for activities recorded in Reporting Year 2011 or later:
- Commercial Support Received? – indicate by clicking “Yes” or “No” whether commercial support was received for this activity. You should check “Yes” for this question if support was received regardless of whether it was paid directly to your organization, as the Accredited Provider, or to a joint sponsor.
- Number of Commercial Supporters – if you did receive commercial support for the activity, indicate in this field how many commercial interests contributed either monetary (cash receipts) or in-kind support.
- Total Monetary Amount Received – report the total amount of cash received to support an activity. This total should not reflect any in-kind support received; only cash receipts.
- In-kind Support Received – in this section you will account for any in-kind (non-monetary) support that was received by checking the appropriate box or boxes. For activities that occurred in 2011 or later you should not estimate the dollar value of in-kind support.
- Commercial Supporters (Optional) – if you choose, you can also list each commercial supporter and the amount of monetary type of in-kind support they contributed.

- Commercial Support Received? – indicate by clicking “Yes” or “No” whether commercial support was received for this activity. You should check “Yes” for this question if support was received regardless of whether it was paid directly to your organization, as the Accredited Provider, or to a joint sponsor.
- Number of Commercial Supporters – if you did receive commercial support for the activity, indicate in this field how many commercial interests contributed either monetary (cash receipts) or in-kind support.
- Total Value of Commercial Support Received (monetary or in-kind) – report the total amount of the cash plus the estimated value of in-kind support received to support an activity. For activities that occurred in 2010 or before you must estimate the value of in-kind support.
- Commercial Supporters (Optional) – if you choose, you can also list each commercial supporter and the amount of monetary type of in-kind support they contributed.
